main community - lyrics/random - storylines
The one time that everyone gets together, just as a new week starts, to catch up. Whether it's talking about what they did that weekend, sharing good news, or braving a storm, everyone gathers around a big table and shares food, laughs, and memories. Kids running around the house, guys hanging out in the living room and enjoying a few beers, or the girls gossiping away... There's never a dull moment in the lives of this very special group of people and no matter what, good or bad, they always have Sunday dinner.
This storyline is set in Long Beach Township, NJ around a group of three different families - The Olliviers, the Tafoyas, and the Shaws, all connected through one way or another, and the people that surround them in their everyday lives; be it friends, family, enemies, or the gardener.
rules & regulations
Although is this a private storyline group, the rules of all role play games still apply. We want this place to run smoothly. This place will be around for as long as you want it be and we all have to work together to make that happen. That being said --
RULE 1 - NO CROSSING IC WITH OOC We have all seen this enough to know that it won't be tolerated. If you have a problem with another member, simply send over a private message to this journal and we will work together to mediate the situation.
RULE 2 - ACTIVITY IS A MUST Like I said in the little introduction to the rules. We will keep this place around so long as you guys do your part to keep it alive and that means being active. Our characters are members of families and friends of those families, we have no excuse to not be active. You will all be given an update limit of one month. Of course we'd like for all of you to be more active than that but, real life does get in the way and things happen. It doesn't mean that you aren't committed to the game, we just understand that you all have lives outside of this place. These updates can be in the form of any activity from a placeholder, a thread/log, posting in a sub-community, or an entry. We will be monitoring the friends page so, we'll know who is active and who isn't. Don't make us slip roofies into your jaeger.
RULE 3 - JOURNALS & AIM SCREEN NAMES This isn't really a rule but we do feel like we need to put this in here. We don't care if your journal is IC or OOC, it can be the name of a band your character likes, their initials, their first name, or their last. The only thing we ask is that they are no more than two words and don't have fillers in them like numbers or underscores. Your AIM screen name, however, does have to be IC because everyone likes to know who they are talking to.
RULE 4 - NEW MEMBERS I know some are you might be wondering -- ' Well, what if my character wants a boyfriend or girlfriend? What if I want a new friend because my old one doesn't like Rock Band? ' Well, darlings, you are welcome to invite people into the community. We are just the foundation for you guys to build your lines, all of us have been pushed and pulled apart enough and we just want a place that will last. New members will be brought into the community by invite only. They have to provide us with examples and they will be accepted or rejected based on them.
RULE 5 - HAVE FUN We're all friends here and we all want to write. This is a game, games are meant to be fun and add some excitement to our days.
Having said all that, we hope that you are still keen on becoming a part of the storyline and we can't wait to meet all of your characters!

There is a 48 hour limit to ALL holds. The only guaranteed holds are only for the members of the community that are a part of the three families and their already filled connections. If you are invited into the community, join ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) hotplate in order to brainstorm and plot with other members than just the one that you are joining to fill a line for. There will be NO ANONYMOUS HOLDS what so ever. They will be ignored.
